Ryan's Terminal

A terminal built in Rust for my own needs.

Status

In active development, not ready for production use!

Why

You may be reading this and wondering why I built a whole terminal emulator when there's so many out there. That is a great question. It stems from the fact that all of them bothered me in various ways. None of these annoyances were show stopping, but they were just consistent enough that after a while it got old.

So I figured why not make my own. It would allow me to get more familiar with systems programming (something I've wanted to do for years). It would give me a solid reason to learn Rust. Nothing is as personal as building your own terminal emulator.
